Ti Slice

What is it?

The problem with utility blades is that they never seem to be within reach when you need one.

To solve that problem once and for all, we created a compact tool: small enough that you won't mind carrying it every day, but still functional, ergonomic, and extremely overbuilt.

  • Attaches directly to your key ring or lanyard
  • Uses standard utility blades available everywhere
  •  Lightweight Grade 5 Titanium or Anodized Aircraft Aluminum
  • CNC Machined in the USA to last a lifetime
  • Locking blade
  •  Tool-free blade changes in mere seconds

With Ti Slice 2.0, we've created an Aluminum version of the classic Ti Slice design.

This brings the cost down to a point that you can have extras for backup, or to give to family members so they stop asking to borrow your knife!

How it Works

The design is super simple and durable, because there are only two parts:

Put them together, along with a standard utility blade, and presto: Instant Ti Slice!

Depress the button on the "slider" and push with your thumb to deploy the blade. Release the button to lock. It's that simple.

Carry it Every Day

Ti Slice is smaller than many key fobs, so it's a welcome addition to any key ring.

Testimonials

Since making the original Ti Slice, we've received a ton of really great feedback. Here's what some of our customers had to say:

“And it’s finally here in Germany. It’s indeed a nicely done piece of work and has the feel of old tools I know from my youth, the kind that works for decades, unless rust gets them. But that’s not an issue here. Yeah, you can get a cheaper blade holder, but not one that is this nice.”

“Perfectly made! It is almost too nice to use, very well made, ultra light and with a smooth sliding action.”

“Amazing quality. I love this knife. So simple yet functional and ergonomic. I no longer need to worry about damaging or getting tape glue all over my other knives and just switch it out whenever it’s dull. I also really like the two tone colour design.”

“Received mine yesterday- AMAZING JOB!!!”

“I bought one during the Kickstarter campaign despite balking at the high price tag. As it turns out, the size makes it so convenient that it is the most used tool in our toolbox. I've used it every day for slightly under a year and there has been no observable wear in the parts. I'm buying another one for my wife so she can take it with her.”

Precision Machined in our Workshop - In the USA

Despite their simple function, Ti Slices require a lot of precision machining to tight tolerances. Luckily, we know a thing or two about machining, and we have the tools to do it right.

This isn't the cheapest way to make a utility knife, but it's the only way to get the absolute best quality and performance. There's no plastic to degrade, and no screws to loosen over time. Just a compact utility knife, as simple as possible, but no simpler.

Choose Your Style

Grade 5 Titanium (also known as Ti-6Al-4V) is hard to beat for durability and strength. The titanium option comes standard with a slider machined from Bearing Bronze.

Meanwhile, Black Anodized Aluminum is actually a little lighter, and definitely more affordable. Either way, you'll have a utility tool that should last for a lifetime, or longer.

Belt Sizing Notes

In order to make sure you get the exact size you need, I've created a sizing chart to reference.

"Waist Size" is the distance around your waist, as measured through the belt loops of your pants. Note that your "waist size" is usually slightly larger than your pants size, partly because the belt has to wrap around your pants in addition to your waist, and partly because most pants are trying to make you feel a bit skinnier than you may actually be! All belts will be made longer than your waist size, to provide room for adjustment.

For double layer belts, the sizing is most critical. MEASURE YOUR WAIST WITH A TAPE MEASURE, THROUGH THE BELT LOOPS if you are unsure, and reference the WAIST SIZE column of the chart below.

If the sizing chart does not go small or large enough for you, just leave me a note, and we'll happily make a custom size for you. You can also send me a message if you have any questions.
